Licenses Included in the Sale: Wholesale, Transportation & Retailer Non-Storefront Delivery
Transportation Licenses: In Minnesota, Manufacturing, Cultivation, Mezzanine, and Micro license holders are restricted to transporting cannabis products within their own vertical. To reach the broader statewide market, they must contract with a third-party licensed transporter. This creates a demand for transportation services.
Delivery Licenses: Minnesota allows for an “Uber Eats”-style delivery model. Delivery services can operate for multiple dispensaries without the need to hold or manage inventory—offering a unique opportunity for a service-based business.
Licenses:
Wholesaler License – gives licensed wholesalers a number of rights when it comes to purchasing and selling cannabis at wholesale.
Transporter License – entitles the license holder to transport immature cannabis plants and seedlings, cannabis flower, cannabis products, artificially derived cannabinoids, hemp plant parts, hemp concentrate, lower-potency hemp edibles, and hemp-derived consumer products from cannabis microbusinesses, cannabis mezzobusinesses, cannabis cultivators, cannabis manufacturers, cannabis wholesalers, lower-potency hemp edible manufacturers, and industrial hemp growers to cannabis microbusinesses, cannabis mezzobusinesses, cannabis manufacturers, cannabis testing facilities, cannabis wholesalers, cannabis retailers, lower-potency hemp edible retailers, and medical cannabis combination businesses and perform other actions approved by the office.
Retailer Non-Storefront License – Sells and delivers cannabis goods to customers. A Retailer (Non-Storefront) must have a licensed premises, but it is not open to the public.
