A cannabis infuser license in Illinois authorizes a business to lawfully incorporate cannabis or cannabis concentrates into finished “infused” products like edibles, topicals, tinctures, and similar formulations for sale to licensed dispensaries. Licensed infusers must source their cannabis extracts from state-licensed cultivators and are prohibited from extracting raw concentrates themselves, as defined under the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act.
